I work with individuals who come from a background with narcissistic, abusive, neglectful, hypercritical, or disengaged parents/guardians to modify any unwanted behaviors they developed in order to survive in that environment. This can often include issues with codependency, self-worth, identity, and/or limiting relational beliefs.
I work to help you identify the patterns of thinking and behavior in your life that keep you stuck. While the past may play a role in things, I don't think revisiting and revisiting ad infinitum does any good. The brain is subtle in the ways it threads old, damaging patterns into our words, thoughts, and actions. That's where I intervene.
