In my 25 years as a therapist I've successfully treated clients navigating life's inevitable transitions (graduation, relocation, marriage, divorce, career change, a break-up, major decisions, etc.), as well as those experiencing various forms of anxiety. I have lived experience with blended families and understand the complexities of parenting, partnering, and growing up within that framework. I work first to understand each person's unique set of circumstances, and then to identify strengths on which we can build to help clients lead happier, more joy-filled lives. Life is far too precious and short to lead a "meh" existence.
Nature and movement are excellent compliments to therapy. I also offer walk-and-talk, nature-informed therapy at various outdoor locations in Harford County. Walk-and-talk sessions are $130/hour and are available year-round, weather permitting (with telehealth as a back-up modality). Unplug, reconnect, heal, and grow in a therapy setting unlike any other.
Establishing trust and creating a safe working relationship is my first priority; from there, I lean heavily on experiential, CBT, and mindfulness-based approaches.
