I am a licensed mental health counselor who provides individual psychotherapy for young people in Harvard Square. My practice originates from my work within public school systems and community based organizations. I have built an expertise in LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, with a particular focus on supporting gender-expansive young people, their families, and their schools.
I aim to create a safe, consistent environment to address a range of social and emotional challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma, family and relationship issues, and gender and sexuality exploration. My therapeutic approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive and draws on psychodynamic, relational, and CBT/DBT models.
My practice includes on-going supportive therapy as well as focused consultation around gender/sexuality specific needs (navigating gender transition as a student, letters for surgery, etc.). I have experience consulting with schools regarding the development of trans-inclusive policies and programs. My style is warm, active, and collaborative.
