I find meaning working with others as they strive to move through life's inherent struggles- sometimes simply trying to stay afloat, sometimes realizing moments of insight and positive change. I have found that individual experiences and identities tend to transcend diagnostic categories and am most interested in working from a transdiagnostic approach that applies well-validated principles to create change in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I enjoy working with individuals experiencing difficulties with mood and/or anxiety, traumatic experiences, relationship concerns, and life transitions.
My approach focuses on delving into your lived experience to understand how what is happening in your head, heart, and body can influence how you respond to the circumstances of the present moment. I conceptualize struggle as an opportunity for insight, growth, and the realization of self-compassion, seeing yourself both as you are and as you can be.
