I work collaboratively with children, teens, and adults to create a safe environment that encourages positive changes. It can be difficult to make sense of distress and I seek to guide individuals to a deeper understanding of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as well as teach coping strategies to use in the future. I have experience working with various concerns including anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, grief, poor self-esteem and body image, relationship issues, ADHD, and life transitions. I strive to provide an environment that is warm, relaxed, and engaging where clients can have fun while gaining insight.

I use play therapy to allow free expression and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help children identify the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behavior and learn skills to cope effectively. With teens and adults, I use interpersonal therapy with CBT to help clients better understand themselves and learn coping skills for the future.

I am in Old Town Alexandria on Mondays and Tuesdays and Falls Church on Sunday mornings.
