I understand trauma and the dynamics that can come from it. The body and the mind has information for us and I like to help with accessing that information through talking and physical awareness. I can help with discovering new ways of connecting to others and yourself which can lead to a path of healing. I was deployed multiple times overseas with the military so I understand finding the normal in unusual situations.
There is a connection to the body and trauma that shows up in our behaviors, some call them addictive or obsessive. I have found that to ease some of these behaviors and burdens can be through talking in a counseling room, using EMDR, or movement in a psychotherapeutic yoga session.
I believe in the individual and that people have incredible strength and resilience to survive in the harshest of conditions. Sometimes, we find ourselves stuck in survival mode. Therapy can be about reconnecting and using the survival mode in a functional and conscious way. I can help.
