My practice is a living, evolving symbiosis of theory and heart. I believe each of us are on a unique path that is rich in potential and inevitably involves stumbling blocks. I see my role with therapy clients as a companion on the path. Together, we will investigate the stumbling blocks and decode their meanings, their purposes in propelling you further on your journey. We will also explore your aspirations and identify ways you can more fully embody your ideal image of yourself.
Some of the stumbling blocks I have the most experience working with are: Anxiety, Embracing an LGBTQI identity, Depression, Relationship Distress, Communication Breakdowns, Resentment, Family of origin difficulties, Surviving stalking, Substance addiction, Trauma, Sex and love addiction, and Codependency.
Some of the interventions and models I have found helpful in my 14 years of experience are: Family systems, Cognitive-behavioral therapy, Mindfulness-based therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Dream analysis.
