My counseling experience includes providing interventions to positively address stress, life adjustments, marital issues, and psychological issues like addictions, depression, and anxiety. As a traumatic illness counselor, I help people overcome the obstacles associated with their illness. In addition to HIV/AIDS, Huntington's Disease, and Hepatitis, I have extensive experience working with people, couples, and families impacted by illness. A license from the State of Iowa authorizes me to practice as an independent clinical social worker.
I successfully completed my Masters of Social Work at the University of Iowa in 2006. My post-graduate training in psychotherapy, self-psychology and pastoral counseling provides me with a unique combination of skills and experience to support the discovery and fulfillment of life's purpose.
Due to my background in chemistry, experience in quality assurance engineering, and executive experience in international organizational development, I have a clear understanding of the importance of identifying and managing the numerous systems affecting our lives in today's increasingly technology-driven and complex world.
