Accepting New Clients: I understand how difficult it is when choosing a therapist; so I try to provide the most safe environment possible. My strengths are teaching people to use tools necessary to be more effective in their lives, relationships and find piece of mind. I believe safety and having a non-judgmental stance are among the most important aspects of the therapeutic environment. Even though it may be difficult to initiate the process of therapy, having someone assist you in making sense of internal confusion can result in insight and clarity that is often very difficult to achieve alone.
I am a Cognitive-Behavior (CBT) therapist and specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for the treatment of Borderline Personality disorder. "My passion is to help children, families, and individuals identify their strengths in order to help people make the changes they desire to improve their lives."

Each six-week course covers one module of DBT Skills and will include: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Emotion Regulation. Skills are focused on exploring the connection between emotions, thoughts, physical sensations and the interaction with your surrondings. The objectives of the skills group are to introduce skills that can help decrease or eliminate self-destructive behaviors, achieve emotional balance, enhance relationships, increase awareness and tolerate distress more effectively.
