About Our Program
In Balance, is a Joint Commission accredited and state licensed intensive outpatient program dedicated to providing top quality, interactive services for clients with substance abuse and mental health co-occurring disorders. Its very name is derived from its commitment to address all four elements of an individual's human being: physical, emotional, social, and spiritual. In Balance works in three different ways: using a 12-step curriculum, group therapy led by a skilled clinician and incorporating experiential based therapy. Our philosophy is that by mixing up the different modalities, the group members feel an excitement about each and every session. Our program is currently only serving adults 18 and older. Adult Group
For adults that have substance abuse issues they need a great deal of support in order to bring about change. The In Balance program tries to incorporate a model of relapse prevention along with a 12-step curriculum and experiential based therapy. Our philosophy is that by mixing up the different modalities, the group members feel an excitement about each and every group so that each group seems different than the one before. Bringing the family into the program also enhances our ability to help achieve their goals as part of their recovery process. Our Misson

To help them engage then- innate tendency to question the world around them through role-modeling and supporting the exploration of a new lifestyle that enhances their self-esteem, values honesty, and encourages direct communication. To promote healing in families through teaching and providing a direct experience of effective communication and conflict resolution. Groups
Adult Substance Abuse Group
The group is designed to give adults a safe, sober environment where they can learn to fully embrace recovery. We achieve this through approaching each individual from four different approaches: physical, emotional, social and spiritual. The group also involves experiential, adventure and family therapy. Often times the most difficult part in the journey of giving up substances is not actually doing without the drug itself. It is far more difficult to leave behind the culture in which the drug or alcohol habit existed. In Balance introduces you to a new, sober culture.
