There are many times in life when we deal with issues that are difficult to put into words. I have found that a combination of art therapy, play therapy, with more traditional Cognitive Behavioral talk therapy give people the option of approaching issues from a variety of perspectives. I also have a background in mindfulness practice to help you learn to gain insight into your reactions to issues in your life. I work with children, adults and families to help you develop positive solutions in your life.
Children, in particular, can lack the verbal vocabulary to express what is going on internally; they naturally express themselves in a visual way and/or metaphorically through play. Art and mindfulness practice can also provide stress relief and a new way of looking at things for people of all ages.

This 2x/month group is for adult individuals interested in using art and creativity as coping tools for dealing with depression, anxiety, or other mental health issues.
