Professionally, I'm interested in Autism Spectrum Disorder (Asperger's Disorder), Depression, Anxiety, Parenting Issues, Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI), co-occurring disorders (formerly called Dual Diagnosis Disorders), lifespan development/lifespan developmental psychopathology, and resiliency. I have been trained to work with clients across the age spectrum. I'm welcoming of clients of various backgrounds and beliefs.
My approach to therapy is very practical. I'm cognitive behavioral in orientation, yet also eclectic. I believe in the resiliency of the human spirit and a person's ability to change. I help clients gain insight into their issues, while at the same time focusing on solutions to the problem.
