Chris Huffine, Psy.D., licensed psychologist, is the Executive Director of Allies in Change. He offers individual and couples counseling with adults on a variety of issues including mood disorders, stress management, relationship/intimacy issues, and addictions. During Chris' career, he has worked with over a thousand abusive men and hundreds of female and male victims of abuse. Chris is also an adjunct faculty member at Portland State University where he teaches an anger management class and speaks on domestic violence.
He also offers a graduate level class on domestic violence at Pacific University. He regularly speaks publicly and offers trainings on a variety of issue related to domestic violence. He is a member of the advisory group to the state attorney general to monitor standards for batterer intervention programs.

AIC's Abuse Intervention Groups provide an accountable and supportive setting for men to understand the role of male socialization, identify the ways they have been abusive or controlling of others, examine and change their beliefs about abuse, and practice acceptable alternatives to abuse. We respectfully confront denial and pro-abuse beliefs while supporting making non-abusive choices and embracing more pro-social beliefs. We make consistent use of evidence based practices, including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral interventions, role plays, and the research of John Gottman. Groups on Wednesday's and Thursday's. Please call for time and availability.

Allies in Change's counseling groups are designed to help people have more successful relationships. These groups pair education with an examination of members' real-life situations. Our various topic areas include communication skills, on-going support and encouragement, troubleshooting difficult situations, and managing emotions such as anger, stress, and anxiety. Men's Anger Managment Class

Allies in Change

Allies in Change's Men's Anger Management Program provides an accountable and supportive setting for men to understand the root of their anger and how to better control it. Our Anger Management Program is 12 weeks in length. We offer a separate long-term anger management program you may choose to transfer to before or after completing this program. This class is facilitated by highly qualified and experienced counselors.
