We specialize in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) for the treatment of especially difficult to treat issues such as PTSD, Severe depression, Eating Disorders and the like. We are also well versed in issues of self-harm and frequent hospitalizations
We have attended intensive trainings in DBT given by Dr. Marsha Linehan and her associates. DBT therapy is done in accordance with the protocol as developed by Dr. Linehan during the mid-90's and empirically validated for the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder and other issues. We are a full service DBT practice.
Dr. Lucks has done some of the pioneering work in the field of Cyberstalking, and is currently developing a research project for Video Game Therapy for use with adolescents and adults in certain specialized treatment areas.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a research-based empirically validated protocol developed by Marsha M. Linehan, Ph.D. at the University of Washington, in Seattle. The treatment was developed for people with Borderline Personality Disorder. It has now been validated for a variety of other disorders, such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, addictions, eating disorders, mood disorders, impulse control disorders, personality disorders, and for those with other self-injurious behaviors. Our goal is to reduce extended costs, hospitalizations, and assist people in improving their quality of life...to make a life worth living.
