I am most interested in working with someone or a family that is in at least a bit of a crisis. It may be that you have tried a number of ways to solve the problems, but they don't seem to be working, and you are very frustrated, especially at the responses you are getting from friends and relatives. You may feel your depression, anxiety or that your child is out of control; that it's time to try something different.
I feel very rewarded helping folks solve a wide range of problems, but I have put a lot of effort into learning how to help people who have had a really traumatic experience(s). By that I mean one that causes great distress when you think of it.
Having been in private practice for 24 years, with extensive training and experience prior to becoming an independent psychotherapist,I am able to blend a variety of techniques, including Emotional Freedom Techniques, Family Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, , Mindfulness,, as well as the current cognitive and solution-based therapies.
