I am sorry for the pain or challenge that has brought you to seek therapy. I care deeply about helping people fully inhabit their pain, learn how to explore/ "be" with it, and use it to live fuller, bigger lives. I provide my clients a supportive, nonjudgmental environment to uncover the truth about their current experience, identify their wants/needs, and ultimately live with committed action in the service of their values. Having 20+ years of experience with specialized therapies of DBT, EMDR, and ACT, I can provide you with a multitude of interventions/techniques that support either greater acceptance or change in your life.
Discontent, confusion, and difficult situations have something to offer us. They can provide an avenue to increased clarity in values, self-acceptance and meaning in one's life. It is important to me that people walk away experiencing tangible results and an optimistic outlook about their future.
As real change takes place outside the therapy office, my practice supports between session phone coaching at no additional fee. In conjunction with the above modalities, I use Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy. Groups offered in DBT for adults and adolescents.
