My client focus is trauma and complexity. This can be a combination of grief, loss, a traumatic experiences and addiction issues. I enjoy putting many pieces together to help people untangle and resolve their issues. My style is relaxed and comfortable while helping people with big hurts such as PTSD, anxiety, depression or other serious mental health issues. I have a special place in my heart for veterans, I am one myself and I so appreciate and understand the sacrifice. I've heard what really happens in war situations. I can hear that. Additionally, I enjoy work with couples, both separately and together.
My first goal is to create an environment that I want as a client. Safe, relaxed, informal but professional. I use many techniques... a few are talk therapy, EMDR, LENS neurofeedback, cognitive therapy and deep emotional release work. I listen for what I call "projects" or the hurts to work through. Clients bring the issues and I know the path forward.
I've worked through many issues myself and have become comfortable with my own strengths and imperfections. I consider wounded people to be "my people." I'm confident as a therapist, but also very regular. I'm an equal partner in the healing process. Ideally therapy is a mix of light moments, deep moments and finding ways to heal, cope and be happier!

Intensive Outpatient Treatment for Addiction
Intensive Outpatient Treatment for Substance Use Disorders is available at Archstone Counseling & Treatment. For people who have a severe problem stopping their substance use, but not so severe that residential treatment is necessary. If you are going to residential it is very important to return to the community and attend this level of care. Relapse is high following residential treatment without intensive follow up care. Residential is great for total focus on sobriety and immediate core issue work, but once back home you will need help as the problems and temptations will still be there! Many Insurances accepted.
