With a compassionate, non-judgmental and interactive approach, I seek to assist people in making desired changes in relationships, behaviors and outlook on life. For over 20 years, I have helped individuals, couples and groups by providing a safe and open place to talk about their lives and share their stories. I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety and relationship issues and have particular expertise in trauma, PTSD and anger management. These can be painful, distressing issues but my calm, caring manner is paired with practical, effective methods. The result is relief, hopefulness and re-building of emotional health.
I blend elements of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and psychodynamic therapy to help you feel better about yourself, your relationships and the quality of your life. I also have expertise in EMDR which can help you resolve the impact that trauma may have had in your life.
I especially enjoy working with women who struggle with anger. Anger is a natural and normal emotion, but you may find yourself expressing it in ways that are hurtful to others. You are not alone. I can help you understand why this happens and develop more effective ways to communicate your emotions.

Groups
Anger Management for Women
This is a 6-session educational class for women who want to learn to identify and express their anger in respectful and effective ways. Through presentations, handouts, practice and discussion, participants will focus on analyzing and understanding individual patterns of anger, negative self-talk, and developing tools for managing emotions and positive conflict resolution. The next 6-session group meets on Thursdays from JANUARY 21 THOUGH FEBRUARY 28, 2010, from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. Cost for all 6 sessions is $135.00. Please call 651-268-0751 for registration information.
