Sometimes life brings us challenges that are difficult to negotiate on our own. My clinical approach can help you find new ways of experiencing yourself and approaching life's challenges. I have over 25 years of clinical experience working with individuals and couples. My approach is gentle and effective and includes psychodynamic, somatic, cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness therapy practices. I am a trauma-informed therapist with specialized training in attachment trauma, complex trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as well as anxiety and stress reduction.
I am a certified Qigong Teacher as well as a Somatic psychotherapist. Somatic psychotherapy is a holistic approach driven by the latest research in neuroscience. It works with the dynamic patterns between the body & the mind and is considered one of the best approaches to work with anxiety and trauma.
Through embodied awareness, we learn to notice & transform patterns & beliefs that are remnants from our past. Transforming these patterns on a fundamental level frees us up to make healthier choices based on present life experience.

Preventing Burn-out: Qigong 4 Health Professionals
Surrounded by those who are suffering, health professionals give not only their skills but also their inner resources, often absorbing others' pain. Over time, many of us feel depleted, and our health and the quality of our lives can be affected. Qigong is a form of still and moving meditation that can restore your energy reserves & quiet your mind. Mindfulness based practices can help you regulate your nervous system, align your mind-body-& spirt, and help you settle into a more relaxed way of being. Come learn and practice Qigong methods in a supportive consultation group.
