I believe it is essential to work within a healing and healthy therapeutic relationship that includes a solid connection between therapist and client, a commitment to working through difficult issues together, a safe, respectful, consistent and nurturing environment, and the belief that growth and change are possible.
I work to help you explore historical and developmental issues, family dynamics & attachments, and the role that these play in shaping your thoughts, feelings, values and overall sense of self. This process allows for deeper self-understanding, self-enrichment, shifts toward personal growth, and greater intimacy and connection with others.
In addition to my therapy practice, I offer clinical consultation/supervision to help budding & seasoned psychologists, psychiatrists/psychiatry residents and mental health practitioners enhance their practices and enrich their work. I also provide ethics consultation to clinicians, and offer training related to couples therapy, sexual orientation, gender identity & diversity issues and mindfulness-informed wellness.
