Day to day challenges or unrepaired past hurts may cause anxiety, depression, or health issues, and can interfere with every aspect of your life. Infidelity, family discord or job issues may leave you feeling dissatisfied or trapped. I can help you develop a better understanding of yourself and others and learn more effective coping and communication skills. Doing so will help you address these issues and create more satisfying, mutually respectful relationships at work or home. These desired life changes may eventually reduce your level of stress and lead to an improved sense of emotional and physical well being.
I believe that most marriages can be saved and work towards that goal. I encourage couples to focus on their strengths and develop balance between their emotional and physical needs and the demands of work and family. By doing so they increase their emotional bank account and improve their relationship.
I have been in practice for over 35 years. Following receipt of my PhD, I continued for eight years of specialized training. I hold Postdoctoral Diplomas in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Group Psychotherapy. Group psychotherapy can be helpful in working through interpersonal issues from your family of origin or in current relationships.

My group is composed of professionals who work to reduce the stress in their lives and improve relationships with friends, partners and family members. It is an active, lively and supportive group. Empowering themselves and strengthening self esteem are important goals. Members learn to recognize and change dysfunctional behaviors which may have origins in the past. Group interaction is utilized to increase awareness of repetitive behavior patterns and of members impact on others.
