I am primarily focused on working with bereaved individuals and/or families who have lost someone to suicide as well as working with individuals who have made suicide attempts in the past or are considering an attempt. In addition, I work with individuals dealing with emotional/psychological trauma of all types, as well as with depression and grief. I also have experience working with people dealing with challenges such as bipolar disorder. I provide both individual and group therapy.
My focus on suicide comes out of my own experience. Several years ago, my husband took his own life. Unable to help him, I began a new career as a psychotherapist in order to help those contemplating suicide as well as loved ones left behind by suicide.
As a consequence of my personal experience and familiarity with complex grief and related issues, as well as my clinical focus, I believe I have some helpful tools to assist my clients in feeling less isolated and more understood while also working with them to regain their lives.
