Sometimes we're so close to our own stuff it's hard to know where to start. My approach to therapy is to meet you "where you are" and help you learn what you can control vs. what you can't control. You will learn coping strategies to gain control over your thoughts and behaviors while learning how to let go of what you can't control. Integrating CBT and EMDR methods can help clients resolve unprocessed trauma and promote healing in the body as well as the mind.
I use a Cognitive Behavioral approach to help clients manage stress, adapt to life transitions, and understand the underlying causes of their problems. EMDR is used to resolve unprocessed trauma. My style is goal oriented and hope you walk away from your sessions feeling confident and equipped with tools you can apply towards any current or future problem.
I have much experience working with Codependency issues, Mood Disorders and Relationship Issues. I value the use of resources to help clients work through various struggles. By supporting and challenging you, you will learn how to trust yourself to handle things outside your control. When your personal insight improves, every area of your life improves.
