I am a seasoned therapist, who has been in practice for over 25 years. I have the ability to to connect with a wide range of people, from adolescents to older adults, individuals and couples, including members of the LGBTQ+ community. I will help you manage anxiety, and depression, and view issues as problems to be solved. Through engagement and support, I have helped people with divorce/separation, marital distress and infidelity, and the challenges of parenting children and adolescents. I also work with people in 12-step groups with family-of-origin issues, like co-dependency.
My specialty is couples therapy, informed by the work of Dr. Sue Johnson, creator of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Dr. Suzanne Iasenza, author of Sexual Narratives in Couples Therapy. My sub-specialty is human sexuality. My work is psycho-educational, and experiential, including "homework" in-between sessions.
My rich and varied background helps me relate to and understand a wide range of issues people bring to therapy. I am curious and non judgmental, able to engage in a dialogue with my clients that helps them know they are respected, understood, and cared for.

I've named the group Divorce: Coming Uncoupled Without Coming Apart. We will address the initial crisis, communicating with children and family members, finding ways to reach out to find resources and connect with others during this time of immense change and stress. Issues such as co-parenting, dating, work, and the challenges of shifting identity are addressed. Resources will be shared, and an opportunity created for finding others you can relate to and find strength and support from.
