Moral Reconation Therapy MRT
MRT addresses beliefs and reasoning. It's a systematic, step by-step group counseling approach for treatment-resistant clients. The MRT system approaches the problem of treating populations by targeting problems associated with low levels of moral reasoning. MRT systematically focuses on seven basic treatment issues: Confrontation of beliefs, attitudes and behaviors, Assessment of current relationships, Reinforcement of positive behaviors and habits, Positive identity formation, Enhancement of self-concept, *6 month duration meeting once per week for 1.5 hours/weekly utilizing the How to Escape Your Prison MRT Book (16 Step process - 12 in class, 4 after-care steps).
