I believe many of our emotional and relational difficulties are connected to the experiences we have growing up in our unique family systems. These experiences shape core beliefs about who we are and what we can expect from others. This work involves becoming unstuck emotionally and healing faulty relationship maps, losses, or traumatic wounds of the past. I can support you to resolve the unfinished business of the past so you don’t have to keep recreating it in the present and find that when clients create healing at the root cause, the symptoms are no longer needed. While pain and loss are inevitable, suffering is optional.
I am skilled at working with depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, decision-making or ambivalence about important relationships, trauma, guilt, shame, procrastination, difficulty with finding purpose and meaning, and chronic illness. My style of therapy is targeted, structured, and focused on the creation of lasting change.
I also specialize in illness (acute and chronic), loss in all its varied forms, grief, and end-of-life issues. I work with clients seeking to grieve, process a life transition, or the ending of a relationship, supporting them to manage the daily business of living, find meaning, and heal from the losses that life and love often bring to us as human beings.
