I believe that everyone has problems at times, and that these can prevent us from having the relationships and lives we desire. I see therapy as a dialogue and am active and direct in the process. I specialize in working with individuals, couples and families on relationship issues. I provide the opportunity for people to discuss difficult issues in a calm and neutral environment to increase connection and clarity, with an emphasis on practical changes. People who work with me feel safe and understood.
I've been a therapist for over thirty years and worked in child/adolescent/family programs, outpatient behavioral health clinics, medical settings, on a college campus, and in private practice. I am primarily a narrative and emotion focused therapist, but also draw from many other evidence based practices.
