Crossan Counseling has 2 locations, Parkton, in Northern Baltimore County, and at the Ruscombe Mansion in Baltimore City.I believe strongly in the healing power of empathy and support in my relationship with clients. I also believe that every person can be resilient. An important part of therapy is to tap into a client's strengths to build lasting coping skills. I incorporate client centered and cognitive- behavioral approaches, with new technology to provide relief of symptoms, and give clients the ability to improve their lives. I also coach to improve performance in sports, academics, career or the performing arts.
In addition to supporting clients as they work through their painful issues, I assist clients to break destructive patterns, using mindfulness techniques and biofeedback.I also teach coping skills that are easily learned, easily used and serve to help clients continue to heal and manage life's challenges.
I have an eclectic, and, always compassionate approach to treatment. Since clients are very different and issues can be very complex, I work hard to customize therapy to meet the needs of each client. I employ current research and the latest technology to maximize positive results in therapy.
