I offer you an empathetic, direct, and practical presence in your journey towards healing. After becoming a physician (I am a licensed Obstetrician Gynecologist), I discovered another calling of mine is working with people and their emotions. As a therapist who is also a physician, I bring knowledge and wisdom of medicine, the body, and the mind-body connection. With this background, I offer you a unique, experienced, and well-rounded therapist. (For safety reasons, I am currently only offering online therapy sessions.)
In addition to talk therapy, I use action-oriented techniques (which can be done even online) to help develop self compassion and fresh perspectives. I have experience and a special interest working with clients on relationship issues, grief, depression, anxiety, inner critic work, trauma, their child abuse, anger expression, and the loss of a family member.
With regards to grief and trauma work, I have extensive experience working with individuals who have experienced a pregnancy loss from an abortion, termination for fetal diagnosis, selective reduction (and those anticipating such decisions), miscarriage, stillbirth, ectopic pregnancy, or other causes. (On Hiatus) Post Abortion Therapy Group for Women
Come and virtually meet other women in a supportive environment and experience the healing power of a group. The group's purpose is to provide women with a safe, non-judgmental, and politically neutral space to share, connect, and learn from others who have had a similar experience. With a group of interested women and the guidance of a supportive therapist, group members will have the opportunity to tell their experiences and explore feelings through the use of dialogue, drama, and creative therapeutic processes. *No previous theater experience is needed. Shy people are welcome.
