I believe therapy is a place to understand and be understood, to feel empowered, emotionally, spiritually and relationally. I have been in the field since 2007 working with individuals, couples, and families dealing with issues ranging from depression and anxiety to addiction and homelessness. I work with all ages, especially focusing on family groups seen individually and together. Every client creates a goal centered plan that includes a variety of interventions from sand and art therapy to trauma focused CBT. Therapy is a safe place to share your journey, learn from the past and move towards the future.

My work with children/adolescents brings reconciliation to families and direction to parents. I recognize that in any family each individual affects the others, therefore in my treatment we include parents, siblings and others. I approach counseling from a strengths-perspective, focusing on the abilities and potential found in everyone.

Your session is a time to breathe, share and address the issues you've avoided for to long. I offer a variety of groups for adolescents to increase socialization and to move towards well-being. Sessions are available in Charlotte (insurance based) and Lake Norman (self-pay/out of network).

High School Girls Groups

These are ongoing groups for high school girls to build relationships, process life stressors in a safe environment and learn tools to cope. Confidentiality is of great importance and girls are encouraged to be open with one another in this safe space. These groups work to balance peer support with learning tools to manage stressors in life. Focus on coping, triggers, and management through CBT, Art, relationships, etc. I ask that each new group member have an individual assessment to determine appropriateness for group. Two groups offered.. 4-5 Every other week and 5-6 weekly.
