A positive therapeutic experience begins with a strong, empathic relationship. Whether I am working with adults or children, I emphasize helping my clients feel welcome and connected within the therapy experience. People come to therapy for many different reasons. My job is to listen to your needs and help you through the process of meeting your emotional and situational challenges. I work with children, teens, and adults, specializing in eating disorders and body image concerns, depression, anxiety, anger management, school issues and behavioral concerns. I have intensive training in several different intervention styles, including client-centered, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, family systems, and play therapy. Because of my eclectic background, I work collaboratively with my clients to identify their needs, strengths and goals, and develop a personalized treatment plan.
I earned my doctorate in psychology from American University and I am licensed in the state of New Jersey. I have worked at every different level of care, and now I thoroughly enjoy working in the outpatient setting with my colleagues at The Temenos Center, a group private practice.
