A PhD in Psychology and a MS in Marriage and Family Therapy, Dr. Thomas's education and training has provided her with a multidimensional perspective- she understands the web of connection and emotional dynamics that unfold in families, couples, and larger systems. GRIEF & LOSS: Dr. Thomas specializes in grief, loss and life transitions for individuals, couples, families and groups. COUPLES: Jessica offers a systemic approach to therapy as she assists couples in cultivating connection and mutual understanding, increase positive communication and find resolve.
The therapeutic process is guided through honest reflection, mindfulness practice and sometimes, artistic expression. Dr. Thomas works co-creatively to develop authentic treatment plans according to needs, wants, and personality. Virtual Mindful Photography Grief Class
Based on Dr. Jessica Thomas's research, this unique class integrates the practice of mindful photography and journal writing for those that have experienced the death of someone close to them. This is not a therapy group, but participants might find aspects of the class to be therapeutic. I recommend that participants utilize individual therapy in addition to this class.
