I am a licensed clinical therapist with more than 20 years experience working with clients with a broad range of concerns. I received my initial clinical training at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, where I trained in psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and experiential therapies. Psychotherapy as a highly effective way to relieve symptoms of anxiety, depression and the aftereffects of trauma and loss. It can help you increase your understanding of yourself; change behaviors that might be interfering with your goals; improve your relationships and help you experience more meaning and joy in your life.
I have worked extensively in the treatment of trauma symptoms from childhood abuse, domestic violence, military service and grief and loss. In addition to traditional talk therapy, I offer clients mind-body and expressive art therapies which can be very helpful in relieving symptoms of anxiety and pain.
As your therapist, I will be compassionate, truthful and non-judgmental. I will guide you through the therapeutic process and I will invite your feedback so that we can ensure that our work together feels productive and uniquely suited to you and your goals.
