Groups
DBT Skills Training Group
I offer DBT Skills Training Groups for Adults, "Emerging Adults" and teens, Veterans, survivors of domestic violence, Military Sexual Trauma, bullying, LGBT issues, trauma from abuse in invalidating environment e.g. childhood, workplace. Training in skill modules focused on Emotional Dysregulation, Distress Tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Mindfulness. Group includes didactic and hands-on activities, breathing re-training, homework, discussion, role-playing. The intention is to guide the client over the speed-bump of being "stuck" to develop his or her vision of a "life worth living". As needed, I offer individual treatment to support progress in the group.
