Online DBT Group- Starts April 22nd!
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is an evidence-based treatment for persons struggling with emotion regulation issues (e.g., rapid mood changes, intense and debilitating emotions, etc.).The overarching goal of DBT is to obtain "a life worth living" by providing skills to manage emotions, tolerate distress, and improve relationships.DBT has been shown to be effective in reducing suicidal behaviors, hospitalizations, and problems with anger, depression, and hopelessness. Participants will learn an array of skills to manage their emotions and the impulsive and almost automatic behaviors that often accompany strong emotions. Interested in joining? Becoming More Mindful: Mindfulness & Meditation
This group focuses on Mindfulness which is a state of moment-to-moment awareness of one's experience without judgment. It incorporates self-regulation practices that focus on training attention and awareness in order to bring mental processes under greater voluntary control and thereby foster general mental well-being-such as calmness, clarity and concentration. Research indicates mindfulness may be beneficial for those coping with attention deficit issues, depression, anxiety, addiction, stress/life transitions, relational issues and others that want to gain a deeper understanding of self. Many participants report increase in self-awareness/insight & decrease in emotional reactivity.

Marital Counseling/Discernment
Discernment counseling is a way for couples to look at their options before making a final decision about divorce. It is most appropriate for couples where one partner wants to preserve and repair the relationship and the other is leaning towards ending it. This approach differs from regular marriage counseling in three ways: a) the goal is not to solve problems in the relationship, but to figure out whether the problems can be solved; b) the process involves mainly individual conversations with each partner, since they each have different needs and agendas, and c) it is always short term.
