I received my Master's Degree in Direct Practice Social Work from Arizona State University with an emphasis on children and families. I am currently one of many counselors working at Arizona Family Institute. I have had many valuable experiences in working with individuals addressing crisis, abuse, depression, anxiety, tension, neglect, adjustment, addiction, and especially trauma.
I am a Level II Practitioner of the Trauma Release Process (Berceli). Trauma is physical, emotional, mental. My approach offers clients a physiological approach to releasing unwanted discomfort resulting from stress and traumatic events. I am also part of a research study with the VA helping veterans recover from PTSD.
I have come to recognize the monumental role the body plays in healing on all levels. When the body is addressed, emotional healing also has a chance to be accessed. Through body, emotional, and spiritual work I have witnessed healing first hand.

Trauma Release Exercises (TRE)
TRE helps individuals release stress or tension as a result of difficult life circumstances, immediate or prolonged stressful situations, or traumatic life experiences. TRE is a set of six simple exercises that help individuals release tension by evoking a muscular shaking process, also called neurogenic tremors, at the body's center of gravity protected by the psoas muscles. The exercises elicit the tremors in a controlled and sustained manner. This natural shaking process begins to release deep chronic muscular tension stored in the body, which in turn relaxes the anxiety of our minds.
