Circle of Security for Foster/Step/Adoptive Parent
Circle of Security is an 8 week class. It is based on 50+ years of attachment research. It is a different parenting approach because it focuses on the parent-child relationship. Through the process parents learn how to read their child's cues and respond individually and effectively. Instead, parents reflect on their own childhoods and begin to understand what is keeping them from being able to be present, connected caregivers for their children. When they "fall off the circle" they learn how to repair the relationship. $200 for all sessions. Classes are January/February, April/May, and September/October.
