I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill and later received a Masters in Counseling from UNC-Charlotte. I have experience in a variety of counseling settings including the hospital, school, and private practice. My goal as a clinician is to help adolescents, teens, young adults, and adults build upon their own personal strengths in order to cope with transitions, anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, grief/loss, family issues, and self esteem. Therapy is a unique process in which clients gain greater insight about themselves, their relationships, and others. Creating a safe and supportive environment is essential to my therapy practice.
As a therapist, I integrate a variety of counseling techniques within the frameworks of Person-Centered therapy, Cognitive Behavior therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I am client focused and take a strength based approach to counseling.
