I offer creative, practical treatment that promotes resilience and helps you build the life you imagine using an engaged, creative approach. When you feel you no longer need to see me, and you trust the coping skills and perspective you have developed, our work is complete, and that is my goal for our work together. I'm licensed in NY/CA/NJ and PA.
I work in Schema Therapy, which aims to help you find adaptive ways to meet your emotional needs. Schemas are broad, organizing beliefs our minds create to make sense out reality. We all have them, and they inform our every move. Combined with coping skills of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), my other specialty, our work blends insight with action steps.
The therapy space is a safe, soothing environment, an oasis where you can explore what you more commonly hold inside. We will co-create a map of YOU, using insight, metaphor, stories, guided exercises, role play, DBT coping skills, nature, and creative writing and journaling. My style is engaged and relational, direct and creative. Each session is a journey.
