I work with children, adolescents and adults on a variety of issues. Most of my work is based on the principles of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My therapy plans are goal-oriented, with specific, measurable steps so that you can track progress. I will help you discover the "problem behind the problem" and then we'll work together to formulate solutions. I enjoy collaborating with my patients on many types of issues, but have quite a bit of extra training in working with children with ADHD and their parents, as well as with persons with Asperger's-type autism.
Children, adolescents and adults with ADHD and Asperger's-type autism are areas of focus for my practice. I have developed a unique system of identifying strengths and weaknesses related to ADHD/ASD brain functioning, and then creating a personalized plan to improve life (e.g., school, work, home, relationships).
My goal is to meet people where they are, look beyond surface symptoms to determine root issues, and then develop plans to move forward. The Adulting Program for young adults with ASD includes individual therapy, family meetings, and daily check-in to help with the transition to adulthood.

This group helps children with: social skills, emotional regulation, organization, time management, and improving attention and concentration both at home and school. The group format allows children to practice skills as they are learned. Groups start periodically and this group is also available in an intensive one-week version during the summer.

Young Adults with ASD

This group helps young adults with Asperger's-type autism transition to adulthood. It is offered a part of The Adulting Program, which also includes a daily check-in at the office to help individuals get out of the house and prepare for adult life (e.g., school, work, job search, etc.). Also included in The Adulting Program is family therapy with parents and individual therapy. The program provides individualized goals with a daily action plan to move successfully move forward in life.

Parents of children and teens with ADHD sometimes need extra help learning how to assist their children develop strategies for success. Each week this group looks at specific parenting techniques for dealing with ADHD and its impact on a child's ability to succeed at home and at school. Tips for working with teachers to improve school performance are discussed. Additionally, members of this group will have an opportunity to processes emotional issues that often result from dealing with children and teens with ADHD.
