My approach is to not only develop a warm relationship with every client, based on trust, honesty, and understanding; but to also apply treatment methods that work and help improve your quality of life. I believe therapy can help every person reduce negative thoughts and emotions, improve relationships, and increase personal insight and awareness. I work with every client to develop attainable goals and bring about the change you have been looking for.
In addition to individual counseling in my office, I offer distance counseling which can take place over skype, phone, email and text. I offer groups for recently separated women. This is an empowering group for women focusing on rebuilding their life post split. I also offer divorce mediation.
Our work together will include conversation, feedback, coaching, encouragement of self awareness, and ideas of things to work on between sessions. I take a mindful approach to therapy and I use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
