Parenting is hard work! I can help. I am a Columbia University trained Clinical Psychologist specializing in maternal and child mental health and development. Women and/or their partners often seek support during pregnancy or the postpartum period for anxiety, depression, trauma, or difficulty adjusting. Parents with children of any age seeking their own psychotherapy often find is helpful to speak with someone who understands child development and issues related to parenting. Psychotherapy is individualized and may include aspects of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based approaches.

Many parents wonder if their child's anxiety, sensitivity, tantrums, difficulty with transitions, adjustment to a birth or loss, or other behaviors are considered "normal." I partner with parents to assess and understand their child's unique developmental profile. Therapy aims to address the underlying issues and the challenging behavior.

In addition to private practice, I am active in mentoring, teaching and consulting across NYC and Westchester County. I look forward to hearing from you and discussing the possibility of working together.

Understanding your toddler's behavior - and your own stress response - will help you learn to deal with challenging moments more effectively.
