10 Week Healing Child Within Workshop starts 10/3
The HCW workshop (based on Dr. Whitfield's book) starts Tues., 10/3. This workshop will focus on effects of growing up in a dysfunctional family and healing process for childhood trauma. Participants “dig deep” into memories from their family of origin to rediscover and reconnect with the “inner child”. Through weekly reading, homework and interactive discussions, participants share their stories and connect with others in a supportive group setting. By recovering the “inner child”, participants reduce the enduring effects of childhood trauma and begin to heal the fear, confusion and unhappiness of adult life. 10 Week Loving Choices- Introduction to Parts Work
Tame your “inner critic” and calm your “outer critic.” Revisit your family of origin and heal your wounded “inner child.” Reconnect with your creative, adventuresome, playful “inner children.” Discard “adaptive survivor behaviors” from childhood (i.e. perfectionist, over-responsible) that are no longer working. Take off masks & become “friends with your feelings.” Grow and develop your “wise nurturer”, an unconditionally loving, accepting part. Learn how to balance your “internal parts”, integrate thinking with feeling. Develop a loving, nurturing relationship with yourself.
