l I've found people do the best they can with what they've got. Coming to therapy takes courage to find a new way of being. While figuring out what is working well, and where adjustments are needed, we will have fun, too. Rather than simply listening to you, or asking about your feelings, I tend toward questions about thoughts and actions. It's okay if you don't know yet what needs to change. We will make plans together to meet goals we set in the first few sessions. These will focus on changing thoughts and behaviors that aren't helpful or effective.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy has been found especially helpful in treatment of depression, anxiety, OCD, and addiction. I also use DBT, ACT and ERP therapies. Positive Psychology underpins everything I bring to therapy. I specialize in working with adults, and provide individual therapy.
Omega Health offers medication management, if that is something we determine is warranted. My clients appreciate being able to attend therapy and see someone about medication in the same location and day. Having worked in mental health 30 years, I've found this collaborative approach effective. I look forward to helping you meet your goals.
