Too often in life, we experience events that silence us, making it hard to know where to turn. In my office I work hard to create and hold spaces for my clients that are rooted in compassion, empathy, and safety. No matter where you are in your healing journey, I believe everyone has the potential to find more peace and live closer to their authentic beings.

As a working mom, wife, friend, dog lover and self-proclaimed artist, I often find myself overwhelmed with all that's going on around me. It's easy to let that feeling take away your joy and lose sight of what matters most in life. I believe all people just want to feel a sense of belonging and contributing. A true sense of self. I think this is achieved in community with others and I am here to help you get there.

I work with people from all walks of life trying to re-build their identity or heal from their past. I specialize in working with Hispanic and Latino clients (offer therapy in Spanish), those looking to heal from trauma, and am skilled at helping people de-construct or re-construct their personal beliefs and values. I want to help untangle the "old stuff," dig down to the roots to regain access to what's true, safe, and important to you. I also specialize in career-related transitions, mood-related disorders, and particularly love working with adolescents and young adults. I will see individuals ages 10 and up.

My perspective is that we all can experience more joy and fulfillment in our personal and interpersonal relationships. Together we can gain insight and focus, take on new directions, achieve and find greater life satisfaction. I facilitate this process through emotional, experiential, spiritual, and educational support, where together people learn to better meet situational stressors, such as loss, financial struggles, life transitions, and habitual patterns. People begin to see their lives holistically and know their personal power. Together, we work to fully realize the empowerment, enhancement and enchantment that are the true nature of our being.

I work with most clients, however, my focus is on relationships. I believe everything we do and person we engage with is a relationship, whether it's an intimate partner, friend, sibling, family or your relationship to self. I want to work with you if you are willing to engage the therapy process. Therapy is challenging and happens mostly outside of the one hour session a week (at most). I will meet you where you are at if you commit to do the hard work on your end.

I specialize in Borderline Personality Disorder and other Cluster B personality Disorder and mood disorder. Clients who benefit most from therapy sessions with me are often experiencing feelings of low self-worth, suicidal ideation, depression, social isolation, restlessness, and sometimes describe "wanting to feel normal again," "feeling crazy" or have feelings that they are so anxious that they feel paralyzed and can't be present when they are doing an enjoyable activity, or when they need to focus on something important but can't bring themselves to start the next activity because of their worry.

Penny graduated from the University of Minnesota with Child Psychology and Elementary Education degrees and has experience teaching in elementary, junior high, and preschool programs. Penny also spent some time at home with her family while working in various roles in the fitness industry. She then fulfilled a lifelong dream of being a therapist and earned her Master’s in Counseling from St. Mary’s in June 2021.

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing individual therapy for adults as well as couples and families. My areas of focus are with past traumas, abuse, addictions, eating disorders, body image concerns, self-harming behaviors, abandonment, Bipolar Disorder, obsessive compulsive disorders, anxiety, and loss. My other areas of concentration are marriage counseling, the challenges of parenting, sibling conflicts, infidelity, and conflict resolution skills. I offer pre-marital counseling focusing on the transition into marriage, establishing effective communication skills, hearing/understanding partner perspective, assumptions made about partner's thoughts/experiences, and how the couple can approach challenges life may bring to their relationships.

Shawn is a therapist and coach who works with adults and children of all ages. Shawn has a particular interest in how we as people thrive, heal, and rise. Prior to becoming a therapist, Shawn spent twenty five years as a leader in supply chain, where he developed a deep respect for all people and the way in which we are all interconnected. He utilizes a client centered, humanistic approach, focusing on aspects of mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I believe that we are all doing the best we can with what we have and that we all have the capacity for change. I consider distress to be a normal part of being human rather than an abnormality, so my work focuses on improving functioning, coping skills, and wellbeing instead of getting rid of problems. Challenges, pain and discomfort, and fear, among other things, are present in all our lives; it is how we think about and work with these experiences that matters most. I am passionate about psychological and physical health as well as bringing clients closer to their personal health goals.

Jeff received his bachelor's degree in Psychology from Bethel University, and his master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel Seminary. He has been licensed through the state of Minnesota as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2007, has experience providing therapeutic services in day treatment, home-based, and outpatient settings, and is the Director of Community-Based Services. Jeff enjoys working with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents. He utilizes a person-centered, solution-focused, integrative approach to therapy, and is Gottman Level II certified for working with couples.

With a compassionate, non-judgmental and interactive approach, I seek to assist people in making desired changes in relationships, behaviors and outlook on life. For over 20 years, I have helped individuals, couples and groups by providing a safe and open place to talk about their lives and share their stories. I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety and relationship issues and have particular expertise in trauma, PTSD and anger management. These can be painful, distressing issues but my calm, caring manner is paired with practical, effective methods. The result is relief, hopefulness and re-building of emotional health.

Sara is a licensed independent marriage and family therapist who specializes in working with adults, children, families and couples who are experiencing a wide range of mental health symptoms, behavioral struggles, relationship difficulties, parenting difficulties and perinatal mental health concerns. Her primary clinical focus is grounded In attachment, relationships and development that integrates an understanding of the past in order to heal the present.

Faithful & True offers counseling & workshops for men struggling with compulsive sexual behaviors that they are having trouble stopping. Men who attend our center may be dealing with a wide variety of sexual behaviors — ranging from fantasy, pornography use, and masturbation to affairs, same-sex encounters, and fetish behaviors. We also offer counseling for women who struggle with betrayal trauma due to their partner's infidelity. We help women know they're not alone and help them re-establish their sense of worth and value. Finally, we offer counseling & workshops for couples seeking deeper emotional & spiritual intimacy.
