I supervise a skilled team of therapists who provide integrative and compassionate therapy services to adolescents and adults for stress, worry, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting challenges, sadness, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, perfectionism, difficult life transitions and other emotional problems that interfere with day to day functioning. We offer comprehensive assessments to children and adults for attention and/or learning style differences like Gifted Abilities, ADHD, reading difficulties (Dyslexia), writing difficulties and mathematics difficulties and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
We use an integrative and psychodynamic approach including Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical and Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Activation Therapy. I work in conjunction with other health professionals like family doctors and Psychiatrists to provide a more holistic treatment.
For assessment, we use well standardized measures. The results of testing can be shared by the individal tested and/or their parents with schools, doctors, occupational therapists and speech and language pathologists to refine treatment. Recommendations from testing provide specific suggestions that can be used to formulate an individal education plan (IEP).
