Hi there. Wherever you are on your life journey, welcome. Do you feel stuck in an unsatisfying cycle? Feeling like you have lost hope or that your true self is not being activated? Just sad or frustrated and not sure why? Caregivers often suffer grief and/or compassion fatigue when putting others needs first. Writing in a journal can really help to externalize stressors, and working it through with a therapist can help. Drama Therapy is a strength based modality which involves using creativity in the therapeutic process. I can provide a safe place for you to really let your guard down and express yourself, who ever that is.
Drama Therapy is uniquely positioned to help you work through challenges using a playful gentle coaxing to do and try things. Getting the body involved in the therapeutic work helps individuals to have a new lived experience. Some clients may benefit from undirected play and others from guided nervous system relaxation. Often clients feel relieved afterward.
Drama Therapy uses talk and non-verbal techniques as well for your ease and comfort. Engaging creatively might feel awkward at first but I work at your pace. You might be working on a specific goal or coping with symptoms of a diagnosis, or you might just need a place to vent.
