Life is full of challenges both expected and unexpected. It is my goal to help you navigate a path through your current circumstances whatever they may be. Loss is a particular challenge which affects all of us. It can be the loss of a loved one, an ability, a relationship, or a job. I have years of experience helping people move forward from loss or trauma. I have also worked to help young adults navigate transitions that are often a source of anxiety or depression.
I work from a trauma perspective and understand that the coping skills developed when we were young are no longer adequate for the challenges we face. All modalities used are client centred and respect the beliefs experience and knowledge of the individual. We will work together to determine the intervention best suited to your needs.
Maya Angelou said "We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty." My goal is to help you move along the path of your individual development without shame or blame, and instead appreciate the qualities that helped you through.
