Struggling with excessive worry, frequent negative thoughts or intense emotions can be overwhelming and leave you feeling stuck. It can be hard to know what to do. It might feel like worry or your inner critic is in control. You may want things to change but not know how to make change happen. The things you are trying to do to cope might only be working in the short term, and the problems keep coming up. It is possible to learn new ways to cope with thoughts and feelings, so that they don't have so much control over what you do.
I focus on forms of therapy that help us notice the habits and patterns we get stuck in, and help us notice how to build new habits or ways to cope. It's possible to develop kindness toward yourself, and to work on ways to not let your thoughts and feelings get in the way of what really matters to you.
An important part of psychotherapy is finding a good fit, there are a lot of forms of therapy and many styles of working with people. I welcome potential clients to reach out to me to find out if my approach can be useful to you. My website is a good start to learn a bit more about my services, and I welcome you to contact me to learn more!
