You’re not crazy for wanting to make sense of it. You’ve watched the videos, “how do I know if I’m in a relationship with a narcissist?” and you’re feeling isolated, embarrassed, confused. They’re talking about your actual life, but you don’t think you’re strong enough to leave. You’ve rationalized, communicated, begged. Maybe they’ll change, but they’re not the problem. You’re the one that needs to change. They say this, so it must be true, right? I need you to know that you’re not stupid or weak for staying. I was once in an abusive relationship with a narcissist, entangled in the chaos, and I doubted my strength to leave.
Growing up with a narcissistic father led me to believe that love was conditional and I repeated the cycle of toxic relationships until I eventually got help. I removed the abusive situations from my life, understood my traumas, and remembered my strength. Instead of hoping things would change, I became the change...and I can help you learn to do the same.
Whether it’s a partner or parent, my job is to help you build back your life. We can talk about things over Zoom or on the phone, on your lunch break or in the evenings. You decide. If you’re read this far, something’s resonated. Your recovery from this type of trauma is my mission and your inner strength is my priority. Book a free 15-minute call.
